Claims Management Resources CEO Retires

Claims Management Resources announced their longtime President & CEO, Richard Cook, retired June 1, 2026.

In his 30-plus year tenure at CMR, Cook rose from an entry-level drops adjuster to leading the C-suite, where under his guidance the companies experienced a 590% increase in net income, a 23% increase in revenue and more than doubled the size of their staff while simultaneously slashing staff turnover.

“I’m a country boy at heart,” said Cook. “When I started at CMR all those years ago, I never dreamed I’d end up as CEO. But a special part of our company culture and board leadership is if you have the work ethic and aptitude, opportunities will be presented to you.”

Cook’s successor is one such example.

Vice President Jonathan Musgrove joined CMR 20 years ago, with roots in the utility locate industry. He rose through management over the years and will be promoted to President & CEO upon Cook’s retirement.

Cook is confident in the future of the company, especially with the added expertise of Managing Partner Taylor Fudge, another company leader with decades of institutional knowledge and experience.

“I look forward to this next chapter for CMR,” said Fudge. “We continue to grow, and the foundation Richard is leaving is rock solid. Jonathan’s intelligence and servant leadership make him the perfect person to direct the enterprise.”

The Oklahoma City owned-and-operated companies employ more than 220 people and provide professional property damage claims management services to government entities, public entities and private businesses nationwide.
